The Industry's Standards VS Our Christian viewpoint on Zerat Games 'No Mercy' game.

The multi-billion dollar video game industry is incredibly demonic. That's not just the case for large corporations who have billion-dollar budgets—More on that later. Unfortunately, it is the same case for small indie developers as well. Not only is it demonic, but many indie developers have turned to create sexually explicit material.

Sex Sells

"Let's start with what shocked public opinion—incest. Real incest is something disgusting, and we fully agree with that. However, incest is also one of the most popular kinks worldwide..." —Zerat Games

As a Christian game developer and media producer, Evigilo Entertainment is committed to firmly opposing the actions of Zerat Games and similar entities and works. We do not support this behavior or the inclusion of sexually explicit content in their products. In fact, we cannot condone this content.

We believe that such content is a disgrace to the gaming industry and it does not belong. We asked our owner, Justin, to comment on the outrage regarding the 'game' 'No Mercy'.

"It's disgusting and demonic. That [sexually explicit] content shouldn't even exist in games. It's bad enough that GTA has its provocative scenes. It just adds reinforcement to the pornography addiction people are stuck in, but with video game characters."

He also mentioned,

"What happened to the 'fade to black' or implied scenes? The Sound of Freedom movie did a great job of depicting exactly what happened in that one scene with the camera panning out from the bedroom window with the little kid in it. That was enough to know what happened. It's powerful imagery that exposes the darkness."

We asked Justin to comment further on the gaming community and industry in general as well as what people should do regarding these games.

"They should touch grass. Then after they've touched the grass, they should go read their bibles or get one. Stop playing those games, it's not good for your health. What Zerat Games did, among many of the other sex games on Steam, it's wrong, incest included." "Parents need to keep a better eye on their kids. They know how to work your credit card and email accounts. Come on, get the parental controls on."

The image below will give you an idea of the content included in this 'game'. We took this screenshot directly from the gaming platform Steam.

Game content warning screen showing a blond woman with her hair being held on the game title cover called, "No Mercy" in text. The description describes graphic sexual and violent content, age 18+.

A few notable mentions from the game content warning if you don't want to read all the vile things included:

"...unavoidable non-consensual sex."

Or rape, is included in 'No Mercy'.

"Incest."

We can hardly believe that we're actually quoting this from a content warning for a 'video game'. While Steam does normally take precautions to confirm age before viewing certain content, we believe Steam should take action to ban all sexually explicit content off of their platform or at least revealing content. We would have so much more respect for the company if they did, we love Valve & Steam and look forward to working with them when our game releases.

Zerat Games Said Whaaat?

In this announcement on Steam, Zerat Games made many claims but some were more outrageous than others. We'll bring you a couple statements and if you're curious, you can read the full notice yourself (linked above).

The sex-'game' company shared in their news update post after a community uproar,

"..everyone [those working on the project] perfectly understood what the game was about and that it was a game."

and

"I guarantee that during production, no one was harmed, and we all consider ourselves completely normal and healthy individuals."

We must strongly weigh-in on the topic, stating that those who are participating in this type of work are not healthy and the normalcy of it is only based on worldly standards that continue to degrade every day. There's a deep void within society that needs the Lord's work done in their lives.

"However, we are concerned about the mental health of people who sent us emails. Some descriptions of what you would do to us were really sick compared to what could be found in 'No Mercy.'"

While we cannot condone what were likely threats to the developers of 'No Mercy', we imagine that this type of work from Zerat Games angered many people and rightfully so. Society for the time being, still widely recognizes that the aforementioned topics in the content warning should have no place in video games.

We suspect that some who have voiced their concerns to Zerat Games were feeling what's a natural reaction and protective nature with perhaps even a need for justice in a world that continually seems to favor degeneracy over honor, good morals and integrity. Threats should never be necessary however.

They really should just call it 'interactive porn'. Keep them off the big platforms that are for actual gaming, because children can easily access it.

"Let's start with what shocked public opinion—incest. Real incest is something disgusting, and we fully agree with that. However, incest is also one of the most popular kinks worldwide..." —Zerat Games

The sex-game company then goes to explain how popular incest is in pornography sites. The issue is, Zerat Games, we think you're just making excuses—not unlike porn companies—to capitalize on incest or other taboo things that lead to further degeneracy, but also we wouldn't be surprised if you were interested in the 'kink' yourselves.

We asked our owner again to comment on the purpose of these 'games' and he said this in a message to Zerat Games,

"Let's be honest here, Zerat, people don't purchase those types of games to simply enjoy the 'game' as you would a normal game, as you tried to describe in your announcement on Steam. Customers purchase content like yours to masturbate to. Sin leads to more sin as well as deeper, darker perversions."

Justin also added in response to their post mentioning the rape themes,

"That being said, they also gave room for rape in their 'game'. Given that your game was created for people to masturbate to, they're also fantasizing about that rape while doing the act. That's incredibly ungodly, that's what's sick."

What's the word of God say on these matters?

Jesus says in John 8:34,

“Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin."

In other words, you're a slave to sin until you break free from it with Jesus' help to repent.

And in James 1:14-15 it's stated,

"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."

Luke 11: 24-26 says,

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first."

That unclean spirit or demon will return with seven other worse demons. This means that your perversions will worsen over time and you will find greater difficulty in coming out of that sin. If you're at incest-level now, where will you be in the future? God knows and only He and you see your heart.

Revelations 21:9 states,

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

The sexually immoral will not inherit/enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We will be praying that Zerat Games and all other sex-game creators repent.

Withdrawal

We agree with Zerat Games' decision to remove their content off of Steam. In a statement from their announcement, Zerat Games said at the end of their newsworthy notice that they're withdrawing 'No Mercy' from Steam.

"We've made the decision to withdraw "No Mercy" from Steam." From the officials of Zerat Games

And we say good riddance.

If it isn't clear now, the multi-billion dollar gaming industry is riddled with wild sex-'games', demonic idol worship and so much more. Because we do not have billionaires backing us with unlimited budget, we could use your help to support us in our endeavor to showcase how good storytelling should go and what lines not to cross.

We have a strong passion to reach out to young unbelieving adults and share the gospel with them in a way that they can understand, with the added exposure of strong themes such as the evils of human trafficking. So we will be creating adult games, however you would never see explicit sexual content from our video games.

Like mentioned above, at most you would see suggestive themes in that nature, because sometimes a fade to black is all you need to imply that part of the story.

The best way to support us right now is to subscribe to the Evigilo Arts Subscription Exclusives (EASE). if you're actually interested in gaming and game design, be sure to subscribe to Tier 2 so you can receive exclusive insider-looks at our game being developed and more.
